Sarah, a natural born traveller grew up between her native New Zealand and Europe. Schooled in the University of life as well as conventional halls of learning, she started her independent travels at age 18, without itineraries or even the said travellers bible, The Lonely Planet, preferring to travel the road less travelled to experience the world simply as it is. ‘Seeing’ a country, a culture, an ancient land and its sacred sites and spaces in its simple beauty, unstaged and spontaneous, enlivened her sense of adventure and love of travel.
In between travels, her studies have included Law, Political science and Philosophy, and later inspired by her life mantra ‘all things natural’, Naturopathy and Classical Homeopathy. In between her major studies, a life in Paris lead to training in professional teaching of English as a foreign language and seasonal work experiences in Japan, England, France, India, Tibet, Thailand and New Zealand.
More recently, she has spent a decade practising natural medicine in New Zealand, as well as seasons as a volunteer for Shechen Clinic, Nepal and Auroville, India.
Sarah’s most intrepid adventures include sailing across the Atlantic Ocean and around the Carribean, countless pilgrimages throughout the Himalayas and India, Nepal, Sikkim and Tibet and twice blessed on kora around holy Mountain Kailash.
For all her travels and studies, home has taken seed in Mother India & the Himalayas, where blessed by many a swami and lama and inspired by all the masters and saints, Samadhi journeys was born.
So nowadays a seasoned traveller in her 40’s, with an abundance of travel knowledge to share, Sarah designs, organises and often guides journeys combining the best of India and the Himalayas and all that is eternal, visiting the ancient and classical sites together with freedom to explore the extraordinary in the ordinary around the corner.
Experiences that will capture the heart and soul of even the most savy, and all in the comfort of contemporary facilities that suit todays modern lifestyle traveller.
